Practice Dynamics Course Descriptions

Junior Practice Management course (GEND 7026) is offered in the spring and consists of 25 hours which is an introduction to the information and skills needed to develop a practice philosophy, make career choices within the field of dentistry and a basic understanding of the principles of management. The course format is lecture only.

Senior Practice Management course (GEND 8026) is offered in the fall and consists of 28 hours. It is a continuation of the junior course and introduces the student to the information and skills needed for planning, establishing, and managing a dental practice. Students prepare a detailed business plan suitable for submission to a bank in support of a loan application. Students also learn how to evaluate financial documentation, dental equipment and office designs. The course format is lecture only.
