Post-Doctoral Division

The Department of General Dentistry, Post-doctoral Division consists of 10 faculty and 9 staff members. This includes 4 full time and 6 part time faculty. Many of the part time faculty are specialists. Of the 9 staff, there are 5 dental assistants, 3 front office staff, and a hygienist. Two graduate residency programs are supported by these personel. The AEGD program, which is a school based program focuses on treating complex restorative, medically compromised, and esthetic type cases within a private practice like atmosphere. The GPR program is a hospital based program heavily weighted toward the medically compromised, treatment of patients in an OR setting, and I.V. certification that accompanies the restorative and surgical needs of complex cases.
